Geraldton Junior Soccer Association

Country Week is held annually in the September/October school holidays and attracts over 1,000 players, coaches, volunteers and spectators for a week long football extravaganza.

The tournament is specifically designed for the regional areas and has three key objectives:

• Regional Championships 

• Talent ID of players

• Coach Education

 

The GJSA strives to provide all players with the opportunity to play and represent Geraldton in the annual championships in Perth. Players are invited to attend the championships after a series of tryouts held over 2 weeks (more if required) after which 11-15 players are invited to train and attend country week from each age group. If numbers allow a development team will also be selected. 

Once selected players must:

- Attend all training sessions 

- Respect all staff, players and coaches attending

- Commit to attending

- Continue training and playing for their local team
